Today, 23 January 2024, Parliament of the Republic of South Africa holds a public participation hearing to engage with the community of Nkowankowa and surrounding areas regarding the general intelligence laws amendment Bill. Parliament invited members of the public to make contributions to the drafting of the intelligence laws amendment Bill. The Public Hearing is currently under way at Nkowankowa Community Hall ward 21, and attended by various stakeholders , political parties and community structures who are all participating in the discussions. Greater Tzaneen Municipality is represented by the Speaker of Council Cllr. Sannie Tiba ,Chief Whip of Council Cllr. Given Malatjie, Head of Sports Arts and Culture Cllr. Renny Mabuza , Head of Planning and Economic Development Cllr Sophie Rakganya , PR Cllr. Judith Mashele and 21 Ward Cllr. Sophie Matiane.
