Mayor Conducts Service Delivery Oversight Visit in Nkowankowa

On Monday, 6 July 2026, The Mayor of the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Cllr Odas Ngobeni, conducted a service delivery oversight visit to the Nkowankowa Taxi Rank and the recently renovated former Home Affairs building as part of the Municipality's commitment to responsive governance and improved public services. The visit to the taxi rank followed concerns raised by the Nkowankowa Taxi association during a recent engagement. The Mayor assessed the issues raised and engaged directly with stakeholders to identify practical solutions aimed at improving the operating environment.
While at the taxi rank, Mayor Ngobeni also met with informal traders and hawkers, inspecting the condition of their trading stalls and listening to the challenges affecting their businesses.

The oversight visit concluded at the former Nkowankowa Home Affairs building, which has recently undergone renovations. The Mayor assessed the facility's readiness to resume service delivery and emphasized the importance of ensuring that residents have access to quality government services in suitable and well-maintained facilities
