Moshikaro Moagi, a building inspector at the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, has become an overnight social media sensation after undertaking a daring and humorous challenge. Following Kaizer Chiefs' crushing 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Black Label Quarterfinal clash at FNB Stadium on Saturday night, Moagi made good on his pledge to walk from Johannesburg to Tzaneen.

Before the game, Moagi had posted a photo of himself holding a placard reading, “If Sundowns beat us tonight I will walk from JHB to Tzaneen.” When the final whistle blew, and Kaizer Chiefs suffered a heavy loss, social media platforms erupted with demands for Moagi to fulfill his promise. True to his word, Moagi hit the road, sharing videos and pictures of his journey along the N1, accompanied by a fellow Chiefs supporter. The stunt quickly captured the imagination of social media users on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, with Moagi’s posts going viral.
