NKOWANKOWA CELEBRATES WOMEN’S DAY WITH A FUN WALK
The Nkowankowa community gathered at Nkowankowa Stadium this morning to commemorate National Women’s Day with an 8-kilometer fun walk organized by the Department of Arts, Sports, and Culture. Participants, including men, women, youth, and the elderly, dressed in vibrant colors, marched through the streets of Nkowankowa in solidarity. Following the walk, attendees enjoyed an energetic aerobics session. The event also marked the 60th anniversary of Bankuna High School. The celebration was honoured by presence of Ward 19 Councillor, Sophie Matiane and prominent Bankuna High School alumni, including Miss Bankuna High School of 1978, Theline Miyeni.
