SAIMISA RE-ELECTS GTM’s HEALTH AND OCCUPATIONAL OFFICIAL SAM RAMETSI AS PRESIDENT

The Greater Tzaneen Municipality extends its congratulations to Sam Rametsi, the Health and Occupational Officer of GTM, on his reelection as President of SAIMSA (Southern Africa Inter Municipal Sports Association ) Rametsi (in a red tie)previously served as GTM Sport Chairperson from 2011 to 2013 and as an IMSSA (Inter-Municipal Sports of South Africa ) Executive member from 2012 to present.

In 2016, he transitioned from IMSSA to SAIMSA as Deputy President, assuming the role of acting SAIMSA President in 2017. Rametsi was formally appointed as SAIMSA President in 2018, and his tenure was extended to 2023 due to the impact of the Covid pandemic. His reelection for the term spanning 2024 to 2027 was confirmed during a conference held in Swaziland on the 01st of March 2024, in Matsapha Municipality.
