MAYOR CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY WITH LEARNERS IN KGAHARA & MARUMOFASE

Councillor Gerson Molapisane, the Mayor of the Greater Tzaneen Municipality , marked his 59th birthday with a heartwarming celebration at Kgahara Primary School and Marumofase Primary School , creating lasting memories for the impressionable primary school learners.

The event, filled with music and dance, turned the schools into lively hubs of excitement as Mayor Molapisane engaged with the learners, bringing joy to their day.

The Mayor's commitment to the community was further demonstrated through his generous donations of school shoes and sanitary pads, facilitated by His Presence Foundation, led by Selaelo Ramahlo, and the local South African Youth Council, under the guidance of Jack Mawasha.

During his address, Mayor Molapisane encouraged learners to prioritize their education for a better future, offering words of inspiration and motivation. Additionally, he addressed a pertinent local issue by promising to take action to improve the state of the road leading to the schools.

Former Executive Mayor of Mopani District Municipality, Humphrey Mokgobi, joined Mayor Molapisane in this celebration.

The birthday festivities culminated in a symbolic act of sharing, as the Mayor's cake was enjoyed by grade R learners.

Today’s celebration follows Mayor Molapisane's tradition of community engagement, harking back to last year when he celebrated his birthday with centenarians.
