Handover of Network Connectivity Tower to Letaba Hospital

On May 18, 2023, Dr. Poppy Ramathuba, the MEC for Health, witnessed the formal handover of a connectivity tower to Letaba Hospital by Vodacom Company.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Acting Mayor Cllr Sophy Raganya of the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Ward Cllr Luckies Masinge of Ward 17, Dr. Ramothwala, Dr. Ndlala, and CEOs from the District Office including Mr. Murhombo JB, Mr. Moagi MM, Mr. Kugan Soobranami, and Mahmood Baba from Vodacom. Also present were Mr. Thobejane, Ms. Nkhensani Ngomani, Patricia Rangwanashe, Sixolile Dlomo, and Taahir Suliman

The primary objective of the event was to enhance the communication capabilities. " This tower is not only a structure, but also a life-saving tool", emphasized Dr. Ramothwala

Dr. Poppy Ramathuba acknowledged the positive impact of Vodacom's support and highlighted that the installation of the tower had resolved issues with the non-functional CT Scan and Mammogram machines. Both machines are now operational, greatly benefitting Letaba Hospital and it's patients.
