GTM Women choose to be active on Women's Day

Women in the community of Lenyenye outside the Greater Tzaneen Municipality chose to commemorate women's day by being active. Women of all ages took part in the Mopani Women's Day Walk orchestrated by the Department of Sports Arts and Culture.

The active women were joined by the Speaker of GTM Council Cllr Mhlavasi Tiba and Chairperson of Infrastructure Conny Ramothwala in the 8Km walk. The colourful walk commenced at Lenyenye Community Hall, the women paraded the township chanting songs and concluded with Aerobics session.

At the end of the session, the DSAC also handed over sports equipment to Lenyenye Primary School, Ramalema Primary, Mokgoboye Primary, Matseutseu Secondary School, Seboye Secondary School and Phusela Secondary School
