SEBONE PRIMARY SCHOOL ACCESS ROAD SET FOR REGRAVELLING

Today, the Greater Tzaneen Municipality announced the commencement of a regravelling project for the access road from R36 to Sebone Primary School in Mokgoloboto Village. The project is valued at R2.5 million; however, only R250,000.00 has now been made available to address the drainage system to prevent flooding. The outstanding amounts will be paid in trenches. The project aims to address long-standing concerns about accessibility, particularly during rainy seasons.

The initiative, which was identified during previous Ward IDP consultation meetings, reflects the municipality's commitment to addressing infrastructure challenges in communities like Mokgoloboto Village.
Councillor Luckies Masinge of Ward 17 emphasized the project's necessity, citing the challenges learners and staff face due to inaccessible roads.

Councillor Conny Ramothwala, the head of infrastructure who presided over the handover ceremony, introduced JTZ Family Enterprise as the contractor tasked with the project.
The graveling of the project is funded through the Disaster Relief Fund, which is still to release the outstanding R2 250 000.00 funding for the project.

The project aims to improve infrastructure and will provide employment opportunities for five labourers throughout its duration. There will also be CLO and a Safety Rep.
