GTM EXCELS AT SALGA MUNICIPAL AUDIT AWARDS

Polokwane, 19 March 2024 - The Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) scooped three recognition awards at the SALGA Municipal Audit Awards held at the Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane tonight

The municipality was honored for sustaining an unqualified audit for four consecutive years, achieving 100% spending on the Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG), and the Greater Tzaneen Economic Development Agency (GTEDA)’s consistent attainment of clean audits. GTEDA, a subsidiary wholly owned by GTM, has been instrumental in driving economic growth and development in the region.

The awards were graciously accepted by Mayor Gerson Molapisane, Councillor Thabo Maunatlala(Head of Finance), Cate Ntimbani (Director Community Services), Marius Maeta (Chief Financial Officer), and Velly Mulaudzi (GTEDA Acting CEO), underscoring GTM's commitment to transparency, accountability, and service excellence.
